Ahead of the G20 Summit in Bali in November 2022, the Government is providing convenience in visa management.

This is fully to support this international event to run well. So what makes it easier to manage this visa? Let’s see our review..

Visa Free For Delegates And G20 Bali Summit Coverers

In the decision letter Number: IMI-GR.01.01.0738 issued on October 20, 2022, the Government of Indonesia has provided visa-free visits for delegates and reporters of the G20 Bali Summit.

The decree was signed by the Acting Director General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Widodo Ekatjahjana.

However, foreign delegates and journalists at the G20 Bali Summit must meet the following requirements;

  • Have a national passport which includes Diplomatic Passport, Service Passport or Ordinary Passport/General Passport which is valid and still valid for at least six months.
  • The foreign delegates and journalists also have return tickets or pass tickets to continue their journey to other countries,
  • Have proof of registration/registration or invitation letter for foreign journalists or delegates of the President of the G20 Indonesia 2022.
  • Foreign delegates and journalists have arrived in Indonesian territory through TPI Soekarno-Hatta or TPI Ngurah Rai from November 1 to 18, 2022.

Indonesian Immigration to Launch Electronic Visa on Arrival and Payment Gateway System

The next convenience is that Indonesian Immigration has completed the Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVoA) system and is currently carrying out system trials, including payments by payment gateways.

The plan is that before the G20 Summit or Summit which will be held from 15 to 16 November 2022, eVoA and payment systems through payment gateways will be inaugurated on 9 November 2022.

This eVoA will greatly facilitate visa applicants in traffic in and out of Indonesia and foreign citizens (WNA) can complete their pre-departure eVoA application or during transit before entering the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.

The convenience provided as long as the applicants are connected to the internet and do not need to spend time exchanging cash into Rupiah or US dollars, the eVoA process runs.

eVoA Time Period

The eVoA period can be used no later than 90 days after payment is made and then the available transaction lines.

The transaction path in the payment gateway is through a credit card or debit card that is included in the Visa or Mastercard network.

The implementation of eVoA is gradual, which prioritizes Visa on Arrival services at TPI Soekarno-Hatta Airport and I Gusti Ngurah Rai.

For starters, eVoA can be accessed by Foreign Nationals from 26 countries that use VoA the most.

Visa On Arrival Facility To Bali

The opening of this one facility certainly makes visa applicants enthusiastic to come to Bali by taking advantage of the ease of this regulation.

However, it should be noted that the visa on arrival is only valid for 30 days and can be extended only 1 (one) time with a period of stay of 30 days.

Then this Visa on arrival can only be extended for 4 (four) times, in other words, you can stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 180 days. Unlike the Tourist Visit Visa which can be granted for a period of stay of 60 days.

Visa On Arrival for foreign tourists from 23 countries determined by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia can be submitted by the subject of Foreigners in the following ways;
