North Bali Airport

The presence of the international airport in North Bali is to anticipate the capacity of Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in the post-Covid-19 pandemic which is increasingly limited considering that it only has one runway.

The North Bali area was chosen to develop this new airport based on various considerations. Such as equity and economic balance between North Bali and South Bali.

The selection in the northern area is also a solution to reduce the density of inflows through Ngurah Rai Airport. More importantly, the northern region is a natural disaster mitigation solution, especially facing the eruption of Mount Agung.
