Sari Api is a ceramics studio, even one of the ceramic studios on the Island of the Gods, Bali. Founded by Suzan Kohlik in 1996, Sari Api became the first professional Ceramic Studio in Ubud.

This studio is a beautiful open-air studio outside Ubud. Sari Api is equipped with 6 electric wheels, a large gas fired kiln and plenty of workspace.

Adult Class

The studio is open to all adults, for those who already know enough about ceramics and aim to work, self-glaze and want space to explore their creativity.

The following is the price range and operating hours of Sari Api studio for adult class;

  • Tuesday 09.30 – 12.30

Saturday 13.30 – 16.30

  • IDR 120,000 for half day

IDR 200,000 for a full day (clay and kiln not included)

Children’s Class

A fun and creative class for children aged 4 -14 years, this is certainly very good for dealing with their kinesthetic aspects. Ideas and creativity are fully expected to produce amazing works.

The following is the price range and operating hours of Sari Api studio for adult class;

  • Every Saturday 10.30 – 12.00
  • IDR 100,000 (including materials and shots)

This is a drop-in class, no booking required. Studio Api does not ship items created in this particular class.

Full Course

  • 15 Hours of intensive (covers wheel toss, trimming, plating and burning)
  • IDR 3,000,000/person, includes materials and shots (by agreement)

Half Day Course

  • 3 Hours covering hand-building techniques and wheel throwing.
  • IDR 600,000/person includes materials and shots.

Half-day workshop by appointment: Tuesday and Thursday, morning 09.30 – 12.30 or afternoon 01.30 – 04.30.

Private Half Day Course

  • Private half day workshop IDR 1,200,000/pax (all facilities included)

Studio Api offers a 10% discount for Indonesian citizens for full courses and half day workshops.
