Good News, New Visa Regulations Are Issued, Foreigners Are Allowed to Enter Indonesia!

New Visa Regulations Issued by the Government
But finally, good news coming! Government has released their new rules about opening the entrance for the foreigners to come to Indonesia country. As our Minister of Law and Human Rights Mr. Yasonna Laoly issued Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights number 34 of 2021 concerning the Granting of Immigration Visas and Residence Permits in the Period of Handling the Spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 and National Economic Recovery on Wednesday (Sept 15, 2021), with the issuance of Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights, the restrictions on the entry of foreigners into Indonesia based on the Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation number 27 of 2021 are declared invalid. The Head of Public Relations and General Affairs of the Directorate General of Immigration, Mr. Arya Pradhana Anggakara has said, Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights number 34 of 2021 gives entry permits to foreigners holding valid and valid visas or residence permits. Previously, in Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights number 27 of 2021 it was stated that foreigners holding visas could not enter Indonesian territory, except for official visas and diplomatic visas. Meanwhile, the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights number 34 of 2021 reopens entry to Indonesia for foreigners holding valid visit visas and limited stay visas.
He also explained that other subjects who are now granted permission to enter Indonesian territory include foreigners holding official residence permits, diplomatic residence permits, limited stay permits, permanent residence permits, and APEC Business Travel Card holders, transportation crews who come along with transportation equipment and Traditional Border Crosser as well. These subjects can enter Indonesian territory through certain Immigration Checkpoints, after complying with the Covid-19 health protocol in accordance with statutory regulations.
