Renaissance Bali

Who does not know Uluwatu beach. Here it stands firmly on the rock of Uluwatu Temple. This is the Sad Kayangan Temple which is believed by Hindus as a buffer for the 9 winds on the island of Bali.

As a tourist area, Uluwatu is able to “bewitch” tourists to come and enjoy the beauty of its beaches, the waves crashing against the rock walls.

From this attraction, Marriott International, Inc. established the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa.

A Brief History of the Establishment of the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa

Reneissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa, became the first Renaissance Hotel in Bali. It started in 1997 when Marriott International acquired Renaissance Hotels from the Netherlands-incorporated Renaissance Hotel Group N.V, and has maintained the Renaissance Hotel brand.

Until now Renaissance Hotels have been in 35 countries with 170 hotels worldwide.

Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa has been designed to become a signature hotel, especially the lobby, bar and lounge designed for music, arts, mixology, and gastronomy performances.

The Uniqueness of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa

The word ulu means “land end” and watu means “stone” so this hotel was designed to interpret and recreate Uluwatu’s rocky coastline through the materials that make this hotel building stand tall and strong.

Before entering the hotel area on Jalan Pantai Balangan, tourists will find a two-roof design like a turtle standing on a limestone hill.

This design allows the sea breeze from the Indian Ocean to flow through the lobby and the entire resort area.
